Meet Maisie Chan and find out about her novel, Danny Chung Does Not Do Maths. Danny loves drawing more than anything – certainly more than maths, which is what he is ‘supposed’ to be good at. Then Danny’s life is turned upside down by a surprise visit from his former maths-champion grandmother from China. Listen to Maisie read from her hilarious and warm-hearted book then join in with an interactive drawing activity to create your own mutant creatures in the style of Danny.
This event was created especially for school pupils taking part in our Baillie Gifford Schools Gala Day at the 2021 Edinburgh International Book Festival, but it’s also enjoyable for children and families to watch.
