Xinran Xue - with Helen Tse
Two talented Chinese writers chat about their work in this 2007 podcast. The extraordinary economic and cultural transformation of China and its effects on the rest of the world provided one of the major themes for our festival in 2007. Here Helen Tse talks about her memoir Sweet Mandarin which recounts the courageous generations of women in her family. While Xinran Xue, radio presenter, columnist and author of The Good Women of China and Miss Chopsticks, sheds new light on her homeland.
